Moodle is a Course Management Software (CMS) which is freely available and infinitely customizable.  With Moodle you can add an online component which allows you to share information in a number of different ways as well as provide activities to test how well someone how learned.  There are a number of modules which can be added to any Moodle site to enhance the learning experience.  Moodle offers an easy to use interface that allows almost anyone to start offering classes online.  Your courses can be as complex and creating webpages and giving quizzes and assignments which are graded instantly or as simple as just a collection of links to uploaded documents.  So no matter what your experience, Moodle can help organize your class and present the information to your students in a whole new way!

In addition to customizing modules and themes in Moodle (such as adding Hawaiian language support to the editor) I have modified a flashcard module to allow for images and/or audio in addition to text.  It also allows you to record audio directly on the website.
